DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Junior
Lyden Fogg (South Portland, Maine) tallied three individual wins to aid the Plymouth State University men's swim team to a massive victory over Western Connecticut State University, 151-56, in a dual meet at the Tripp Athletic Center on the campus of UMass Dartmouth on Friday afternoon.
Fogg got off to a good start when he was joined by sophomores
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) and
Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) and freshman
Aiden MacDonald (Hopkinton, Mass.) for the 200-yard medley relay where they took first with a time of 1:48.90.
He then made a splash with three individual victories starting with the 50-yard backstroke in 26.94 seconds, followed by the 100-yard backstroke after hitting the sub-one-minute mark in 59.63 seconds. Finally, he won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:41.44, which was roughly one second off the program record.
Swimming in its first competition of 2024, Plymouth State jumps to 5-1 in dual meets, while the Wolves move to 5-3.

How it Happened:
- The squad of Fogg, Lee, Lyons and MacDonald sparked the Panthers' momentum with a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:48.90.
- Senior Tom Steinberg (Melrose, Mass.) started off the individual events with a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:31.18 while freshman Aidan Moyer (Leesport, Pa.) claimed first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.62.
- Lee and freshman Lee Hill (Nashua, N.H.) took second and third in the 50-yard breaststroke with 31.00 and 39.83 seconds, respectively.
- Fogg followed up with another win in the 50-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 26.94 seconds.
- MacDonald snagged the next victory in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.22 seconds and the duo of freshman Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) and senior Sebastian Daly (Nashua, N.H.) finished right behind in second and third with times of 24.80 and 38.54 seconds.
- Fogg came back in the 100-yard backstroke for another first-place finish with a time of 59.63 seconds.
- Lee claimed his first individual win in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.87.
- Fogg capped his day with a final victory in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:41.44.
- MacDonald won his final event in 25.22 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly.
- The Panthers wrapped up the day in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the group of D'Addona, Moyer, Lyons and MacDonald taking first in a time of 1:40.70.
