HOPKINTON, N.H. – Senior
Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) notched a top-ten individual finish while the Plymouth State University men's cross country took fifth as a team against runners from 11 NCAA Division I and II programs at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, hosted by Franklin Pierce University at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds on Friday.
Flewelling was the Panthers' top finisher for the fifth straight race, securing a tenth-place finish in 25:35.49. Plymouth State posted the three fastest times among D-III runners, as senior
Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) and junior
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) also put together strong races.
Plymouth State finished fifth overall, trailing just four D-I and D-II schools.

How it Happened:
- Flewelling continued his impressive season with another solid performance. Through the first 2k split he sat in 18th, but he steadily climbed to work his way into tenth by the finish line. His time of 25:35.49 was not far off the mark of his career best time set last weekend.
- Wilcox finished 24th in 26:27.25 to snag a spot in the top-25, while Goodman was 30th in 26:43.68.
- The trio represented the top three D-III finishers by nearly 30 seconds.
- Freshman Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) and sophomore Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) rounded out the team's top five. Francis was 56th in 27:48.73, with Colby sneaking into 59th in 28:19.71.
- PSU showed off its depth with another six runners finishing between 77th and 89th. Senior Eli Roth (Stamford, Conn.) and sophomore Connor Phillips (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) closed out the top seven finishers.
