WATERFORD, Conn. – Junior
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) was within striking distance of the 23-minute mark once again as the Plymouth State University women's cross country team faced stiff competition at the Connecticut College Invitational at Harkness Memorial State Park on Saturday.

Karow was the lone Panther to meet qualifying standards for the varsity race, where she posted a 23:09.20 to place 141st in a field of more than 260 runners. The varsity race featured a remarkable 16 nationally-ranked teams, including each of the top five in the latest national poll.

Freshman
Emma Talon (Southington, Conn.) and sophomore
Mia Sweeney (Plymouth, Mass.) posted top-100 finishes in the JV race. Anchored by personal best times from six of the nine entrants, the Panthers finished 20th in the team standings, just behind Little East Conference foe UMass Dartmouth and ahead of rivals Eastern Connecticut State and Keene State.
