PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman
Emma Talon (Southington, Conn.) earned her third Little East Conference (LEC) honor of the fall, as the league announced its cross country weekly award winners on Tuesday.

Talon was selected as the LEC Women's Cross Country Rookie Runner of the Week for the third time after posting a significant career best against a top-notch field at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday.

Talon completed the 6k course in 23:52.30, nearly 16 seconds faster than her previous best time. She placed 70th in the JV race, which featured 345 runners, posting the fastest time among LEC rookies and 22nd-fastest among all first-year runners.

Plymouth State finished 20th out of 33 teams in the JV race – an event that featured 16 nationally ranked teams, including each of the top five. Talon and the Panthers are idle this weekend before heading to the LEC Championship at Keene State on Nov. 1.
