KEENE, N.H. – Sophomore
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) set the pace while leading the Plymouth State University women's cross country team to a 13th place team finish at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday morning.
Karow looks to be turning up the heat after she took a spot in the top 50 in a time of 19:41.10. She was the lone wolf to represent the Panthers in the top 100, ripping about 50 seconds off her most recent performance.
The Panthers finished 13th out of 23 teams, staying ahead of Little East Conference (LEC) competitors Rhode Island College, UMass Boston and VTSU Castleton, while only trailing Southern Maine by less than 100 points.

How it Happened:
- Karow led the way after crossing the line in 47th in 19:41.10.
- Freshman Mary McGloine (Schuylerville, N.Y.) continued her rookie campaign, completing the 5k course in 21:16.70.
- The duo of sophomore Abby Bergeron (Essex, Vt.) and junior Isabel Costa (Harrisville, R.I.) were neck-and-neck to the finish line, with Bergeron posting a 21:54.80 and Costa on her heels in 21:55.30.
- Junior Amber Fernald (Alton, N.H.) scored as the fifth runner in a time of 22:13.10.
- The trio of freshman Jillian Sheedy (Dover, N.H.) and Hailey Perry (Tiverton, R.I.) and senior Montana Casa (Storrs Mansfield, Conn.) closed out the Panthers' field. Sheedy and Casa crossed the line in 22:46.70 and 23:12.70, with Perry finishing in 24:02.30.
