HOPKINTON, N.H. – Senior
Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) headed the Plymouth State University men's cross country team at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championships at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds hosted by Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon.
Flewelling looked to cash in on at least one more opportunity for a strong performance, and he did just that. He finished 19th overall in a near career-best of 25:31.55. He is the third athlete to finish inside the top 20 at the regional championships since Plymouth State reinstated men's cross country in the Fall of 2013. His placement gives him a chance at a spot in the NCAA Division III National Championships next weekend. The NCAA will reveal its field of qualifying teams and athletes on NCAA.com on Sunday (Nov. 17) by 3:00 p.m.
Plymouth State finished tenth overall, which is the third time in as many years that the Panthers placed in the top ten at these championships.
