PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Following the program's first second place team finish at the Little East Conference (LEC) Championships last weekend, multiple runners from the Plymouth State University men's cross country team earned All-LEC honors, the league announced on Thursday.
Seniors
Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) and
Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) led the fray by taking second and third places in career best times of 25:31.21 and 25:39.78. Their efforts earned them All-LEC First Team honors. Flewelling was also a two-time LEC Runner of the Week honoree throughout the season.
Also tabbed for recognition were juniors
Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) and
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.), who nabbed All-LEC Second Team honors after finishing within the top-14, also in career best times.
Their combined efforts led to the team's second place finish, narrowly missing a three-peat by just five points behind the team champion, Keene State. The Panthers won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023 and moved into tenth place in the East Region in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings.
Plymouth State heads to the Hopkinton Fair Grounds for the NCAA Division III East Regional Championship on Nov. 16. The men's 8k race starts at noon.
