WENHAM, Mass. – Senior Lyden Fogg (South Portland, Maine) and junior Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) both punched in spectacular showings, but the Plymouth State University men's swim team fell short at Gordon College, 113-99, in a dual meet Saturday afternoon at the Bennett Center.
 
Lee jumpstarted his day when he teamed up with sophomores Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) and Liam Dugmore (Dover, N.H.) and junior Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) in the 200-yard medley relay, where they placed second in 1:54.24.
 
Fogg recorded a triple crown, easily winning each of his three individual events. He won the 100-yard backstroke in 58.38 seconds, followed by the 100-yard freestyle in 50.93. He concluded with a win in the 50-yard backstroke in 39.62.
 
Lee garnered his own two individual victories, taking the 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard IM with times of 2:28.76 and 2:17.47. His mark in the 200-yard IM was a program record by roughly a second.
 
Plymouth State falls to 1-3, while Gordon rises to 3-1.

How it Happened:

• The foursome of Lee, Lyons, D'Addona and Dugmore joined up for the 200-yard medley relay where they finished second in 1:54.24.
• D'Addona and Dugmore teamed up again in the 200-yard freestyle, taking first and third in 2:12.91 and 2:29.02, respectively.
• Fogg won the 100-yard backstroke in 58.38 seconds, with Lee following with a win in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:28.76.
• Lyons snagged second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.80.
• D'Addona placed second in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 25.49 seconds.
• Fogg was joined by freshman Griffin Srokose (Exeter, N.H.) in the 100-yard freestyle where they took first and third in times of 50.93 seconds and 1:05.78.
• Fogg captured the triple crown after winning the 50-yard backstroke in 28.96 seconds.
• Sophomore Brady Martin (Auburn, Maine) scored third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 7:41.45 and added a second place in the 50-yard breaststroke in 39.62.
• Lyons and Srokose swept second and third places in the 50-yard butterfly in 26.90 and 31.14 seconds.
• Lee capped the day with one more victory in the 200-yard IM in a program record time of 2:17.47.
• The 200-yard freestyle relay of Fogg, D'Addona, Lyons and Lee finished second in 1:38.15.
