MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) had an impressive showing with an individual win to boost the Plymouth State University men's cross country team to a team victory at the Shacklette Invitational hosted by St. Anselm College on Saturday morning.
 
Flewelling worked in tandem with classmate Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) and junior Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) to kick off the first mile. From there he put over a ten second gap between him and the next runner at 4.4k and cruised to the finish for the victory in 27:21.50. His time was 30 seconds ahead of the next best finisher.
 
Plymouth State took the team title with 18 fewer points than second place St. Anselm to claim its first victory since the Little East Conference (LEC) championship meet last year.

How it Happened:

• Flewelling paced the lead pack the entire way before breaking away to win the meet in a time of 27:21.50.
• Cloutier and Wilcox teamed up for a third and fourth place finish and crossed the link neck-and-neck in times of 28:05.60 and 28:05.80, respectively.
• Junior Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) wasn't too far behind to give Plymouth State four runners in the top six, finishing in 28:10.00.
• Sophomore Angelo DeLuca (Lynnfield, Mass.) came in the top-15 and finished fifth on the team in a personal best time of 29:46.70.
• Sophomore Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) and senior Eli Roth (Stamford, Conn.) closed out the top seven with times of 30:44.50 and 30:55.60.
