GORHAM, Maine – The Plymouth State University men's basketball team lost to the University Southern Maine Huskies, 91-72, in a Little East Conference (LEC) contest at Warren G. Hill Gymnasium on Wednesday night.
The Huskies had one of their best shooting performances of the season, knocking down 56.1% of their field goal attempts while hitting 13-of-27 (48.1%) from distance. Plymouth State presented a flurry of points midway through the second half to get to within six but could not keep up with USM's hot shooting.
Senior
Kevin Henry (Stratham, N.H.) led all scorers with 27 points, while junior
Torran Bosworth (Springfield, Mass.) added 16 points of his own. Senior
Kevin Newton-Delgado (Hopkinton, N.H.) rounded out the Panthers' scoring with 11 points in the losing effort.
With the win, the Huskies move into a tie with Plymouth State at the midpoint of the conference season.
Plymouth State slips to 9-7 (3-5 LEC), while the Huskies improve to 7-10 (3-5 LEC).

- USM jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the opening minutes of play.
