PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Despite strong individual performances from senior
Lyden Fogg (South Portland, Maine) and junior
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.), the Plymouth State University men's swimming team fell to Maine Maritime Academy, 168-80, in a dual meet at the PSU Natatorium on Thursday afternoon.
Fogg led the Panthers with a standout performance, claiming three first place finishes to go with a school record showing in the 100-yard IM. Lee added a win in the 200-yard IM, and added a pair of second place finishes.
Plymouth State slips to 1-5, while the Mariners even out at 2-2.

How it Happened:
- Freshman Liam Dugmore (Dover, N.H.), sophomore Brady Martin (Auburn, Maine), junior Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) and sophomore Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) kicked off the meet with a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay in a combined time of 1:58.23.
- Lee snagged the Panthers' first win in the 200-yard IM, posting a time of 2:18.91 to comfortably top the field.
- Fogg began his day in the pool with a victory in the 100-yard backstroke. His winning time of 57.10 topped the next closest finisher by more than a second.
- Lee and Martin took second and third in the 50-yard breaststroke. Lee posted a 31.39, just 0.16 seconds off the lead, while Martin finished in 33.03.
- D'Addona and freshman Grady Hadlock (Littleton, N.H.) finished second and third in the 100-yard freestyle. D'Addona touched the wall in 53.43, with Hadlock posting a 1:03.27 after competing in the event for the first time.
- Fogg became a double winner when he coasted to victory in the 50-yard backstroke in 26.82.
- Lee was the runner up in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.54, finishing one spot ahead of Martin, who took third.
- Lyons was forced to settle for a second place finish in the 50-yard butterfly after being narrowly out-touched. He posted a time of 25.83.
- Fogg closed out the individual events with a bang, securing a new school record while winning the 100-yard IM in 1:01.04.
- Fogg, D'Addona, Lee and Lyons joined forces in the meet's final race, the 200-yard freestyle relay, to finish third in 1:42.07.
