WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Seniors 
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) and 
Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) combined for five top-three finishes to lead the Plymouth State University men's swimming team at a season-opening triple dual meet against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) and Albertus Magnus College at Bruyette Natatorium on Friday.
 
Lyons topped the field in the 50-yard butterfly (26.24) and placed second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.62), while Lee finished runner-up in both the 50-yard (30.25) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.65) and added a third-place finish in the 100-yard IM (1:01.88).
 
The duo also teamed up with freshman 
Colin Devine (Braintree, Mass.) and junior 
Liam Dugmore (Dover, N.H.) for a second-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:44.99.
 
Devine impressed in his first collegiate meet, placing third in each of the freestyle distances, while Dugmore performed well in the backstroke events, taking second in the 50-yard and third in the 100-yard.
 
Plymouth State (1-1) cruised past Albertus Magnus, 109-22, while host Saint Joseph defeated the Panthers, 161-48. The Blue Jays also topped the Falcons (0-2) to move to 3-0 on the season.
