WESTON, Mass. – Senior
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) recorded three second-place finishes to lead the Plymouth State University men's swimming team in a dual meet at Regis College on Friday. The Panthers fell by a 140-48 margin.
Lee was the runner-up in the 50-yard breaststroke (30.07), 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.03) and 100-yard individual medley (1:01.56), accounting for three of PSU's eight second-place individual finishes.
Senior
Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) and junior
Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) each added a pair of runner-up finishes, while freshman
Colin Devine (Braintree, Mass.) collected one second-place and one third-place finish.
Lyons finished just 0.21 seconds off the pace in the 50-yard butterfly (25.65) and posted a time of 1:00.10 in the 100-yard butterfly.
D'Addona was narrowly out-touched in both the 50-yard freestyle (23.94) and 100-yard freestyle (54.18), while Devine placed second in the 50-yard backstroke (32.51) and third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:15.20).
The Panthers' lone victory came in the 200-yard freestyle relay, where Lyons, Devine, D'Addona and Lee combined for a winning time of 1:39.94.
