PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior
Chloe Ahern (Middleton, Mass.) had a strong day at No. 2 singles, but league-leading Rhode Island College topped Plymouth State University, 7-0, in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's tennis match at the RIC Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Anyah Fields (San Diego, Calif.) took a game at No. 2 doubles, while Ahern went on to push her opponent in singles play with a strong second-set effort. Freshman
Sidney Huff (Port Orchard, Wash.) also picked up games in each set at No. 5 singles.
Plymouth State falls to 1-7 (0-5 LEC), while the Anchorwomen stay unbeaten at 10-0 (5-0 LEC).

How it Happened:
- Ahern and Fields picked up a game at No. 2 doubles, while Huff paired with senior Maddie Lorenz (Jefferson, N.H.) to snag a pair of games at No. 3 doubles.
- Ahern put up a strong fight at No. 2 singles, particularly in the second set, before falling 6-2, 6-4.
- Huff picked up games in each set at No. 5 singles, while Lorenz was nipped at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0.
