MB: Panthers tie school record for threes, cruise to 100-70 victory at VTSU Johnson

JOHNSON, Vt. – Freshman Evan Berkeley (Chichester, N.H.) knocked down a three-pointer with 9:14 remaining in the second half – the Panthers' 18th of the game – as Plymouth State University cruised past Vermont State University Johnson, 100-70, in a non-conference men's basketball team game in Carter Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
 
Berkeley's triple tied the Plymouth State record for three-pointers in a single game, while the Panthers shot over 50% from both the floor and beyond the arc to reach the 100-point threshold for the first time since February 2019.
 
Senior Yansel Reyes (Manchester, N.H.) led all scorers with 20 points, while junior Eli Pockette (Rutland, Vt.) added 19. Senior Torran Bosworth (Springfield, Mass.) chipped in 13 points, and sophomore Brady Hulland (Amston, Conn.) contributed 12 in the winning effort.
 
Plymouth State improves to 2-0 on the year, while VTSU Johnson drops to 0-3.
