MB: Reyes drops career-high, Panthers edge Gordon in thriller

WENHAM, Mass. – Senior Yansel Reyes (Manchester, N.H.) poured in a career-high 26 points to lift Plymouth State University to a narrow 76-75 win over the Gordon College Fighting Scots at the Bennett Center on Friday night.
 
After briefly trailing early in the second half, the Panthers seized a lead they would not relinquish in the opening game of the Gordon Classic Tournament. PSU went up by as many as eight late in the frame and held off a late Scots push to secure its third win of the season.
 
Senior Torran Bosworth (Springfield, Mass.) added 15 points, while sophomore Will Mollica (Stratham, N.H.) was perfect from the field, finishing with nine points and six rebounds in the victory.
 
Plymouth State improves to 3-0, while Gordon drops to 0-2.

  • Gordon opened with a 10-6 lead at the 15:54 mark of the first half.
