WB: Panthers stay perfect with road win at VTSU Johnson

JOHNSON, Vt. – The Plymouth State University women's basketball team defeated the Vermont State University Johnson Badgers, 73-52, in a non-conference match in Carter Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
 
After a 17-17 tie through the first quarter, the Panthers gradually pulled away over the 30 minutes. PSU carried a 33-27 lead into halftime, then cruised in the second half, outscoring the Bagers 40-25 after the break.
 
Senior Hailey Malozzi (Maynard, Mass.) and junior Ashley Stephens (Pembroke, N.H.) paced the Panthers with 12 points apiece, while senior Elli Cox (Deerfield, N.H.) added 11 points to help keep Plymouth State undefeated through three games.
 
The Panthers improve to 3-0 on the season, while VTSU Johnson drops to 0-1.
