PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men's basketball team fell to the University of New England Nor'easters, 92-84, in a non-conference matchup at Foley Gymnasium on Thursday night.
UNE jumped out to an early 10-point lead before Plymouth State could respond, as the team chased points for the rest of the evening. The Panthers cut the game to one-possession in the closing minutes of regulation but came up just short in the team's home opener.
Five Panthers ended in double-digits as freshman
Keegan Martinez (Belmont, N.H.) led the Panthers with his first career double-double, tallying 20 points and 10 rebounds. Senior
Yansel Reyes (Manchester, N.H.) dropped 19 points of his own. Rounding out the Panther evening were freshman
Asante' Aurora (New Bedford, Mass.) with 14 points, sophomore
Brady Hulland (Amston, Conn.) tallied 11 points, and senior
Torran Bosworth (Springfield, Mass.) registered 10 points in the losing effort for the Panthers.
Plymouth State drops to 3-3, while UNE goes to 2-3.

- The Nor'easters jumped out to an early 10-0 lead with 17:05 to play in the first half.
- Plymouth State responded with a 12-2 run to cut the margin to 12-9 with 13:56 on the clock in the opening half.
