PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior
Julia Donovan (Antrim, N.H.) tallied five goals and finished with eight points as Plymouth State University held off Framingham State University, 14-10, in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Panther Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Panthers raced out to an early lead, scoring four unanswered goals to open the game, and extended their advantage to 10-3 midway through the second quarter. Framingham State responded with two late goals before halftime and continued to battle in the third, closing the gap to 11-9. Donovan stepped up in the final period, scoring twice to secure the win.
Plymouth State improves to 2-0, while the Rams drop to 0-2.

How it Happened:
- Plymouth State opened the game with four straight goals, including two apiece from Donovan and senior Jenna Stowell (Londonderry, N.H.).
- Donovan's third of the game gave the Panthers a 6-3 lead after the first quarter.
- PSU used another four-goal run in the second to push the lead to 10-3, but the Rams responded with two goals in the final 20 seconds of the half to cut the deficit to 10-5.
- Framingham State continued its comeback attempt with a 4-1 run in the third, pulling within 11-9 with over eight minutes remaining in the frame.
- Senior Maddie Hunt (Littleton, Mass.) scored a woman-up goal late in the quarter to give PSU a 12-9 lead heading to the fourth.
- Donovan netted two goals in the final stanza to put the game out of reach.
