MEDFORD, Mass. – Sophomore
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) obliterated her own school record while representing Plymouth State University at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet at the Gantcher Center on Saturday afternoon.
Karow rewrote the record books multiple times this season, and did not hesitate to do it again in the final indoor meet of the year. She cruised to a second-place finish in her heat in a new program record time of 2:18.38, which broke her previous mark by roughly two seconds.
Competing on the men's side, the Panthers saw three competitors in the 400-meters. Senior
Brayden White (Whitefield, N.H.) led the trio in sixth place with a time of 50.96. Senior
Joey Cappelletti (Mansfield, Mass.) and junior
Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) were on his heels in seventh and ninth with times of 51.21 and 52.44 seconds.
Plymouth State will return to competition when outdoor season starts at the end of this month. The Panthers head to Southern New Hampshire University for the SNHU Spring Invite on March 29.
