Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Mass.) broke her own school record in the 800 meters, while classmate
Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) posted a personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as the Plymouth State University outdoor track & field teams wrapped up competition at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship, hosted by the Coast Guard Academy at Nitchman Track on Saturday.
Karow clocked a 2:18.44 to place 10th in the 800 meters, shaving more than a full second off her previous record set just two weeks ago.
On the men's side, Colby and senior
Brayden White (Whitefield, N.H.) represented the Panthers. Colby broke the 10-minute barrier for the first time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing the line in 9:59.06 to secure 11th place.
White closed out his career in the 400 meters, finishing second in his heat with a time of 49.95 seconds, good for 16th overall.
The meet marked the conclusion of the outdoor season.
