DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) continued his early season success, chopping nearly a full minute off his personal record, to lead the Plymouth State University men's cross country team at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at Robert Dowd Cross Country Course on Saturday.
Goodman completed the 8k course in 25:23.79, just shy of 57 seconds faster than his previous best mark, to finish 29th in a field of more than 250 runners representing school from all three NCAA divisions. Sophomore
Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) also impressed with a PR by more than 52 seconds to finish 66th.
Three other Plymouth State runners in the varsity race also set new personal bests – juniors
Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.),
Angelo DeLuca (Lynnfield, Mass.) and
Nathan Beauregard (Merrimack, N.H.) as Plymouth State finished 12th out of 32 teams and third among D3 institutions.
