PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Plymouth State University fell to Rhode Island College, 83-53, in a Little East Conference (LEC) men's basketball game at The Murray Center on Saturday.
The Anchormen used a smothering defense to stifle the Plymouth State offense, as the hosts never trailed. Plymouth State was within six, 19-13, with roughly eight minutes left in the first half, but Rhode Island College closed the half on a 23-2 surge to seize control and the Panthers were unable to cut into the deficit over the second half.
