MB: Reyes matches season high in setback at RIC

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Plymouth State University fell to Rhode Island College, 83-53, in a Little East Conference (LEC) men's basketball game at The Murray Center on Saturday.
 
The Anchormen used a smothering defense to stifle the Plymouth State offense, as the hosts never trailed. Plymouth State was within six, 19-13, with roughly eight minutes left in the first half, but Rhode Island College closed the half on a 23-2 surge to seize control and the Panthers were unable to cut into the deficit over the second half.
 
Senior Yansel Reyes (Manchester, N.H.) matched a season-high with 27 points in the setback.
 
Plymouth State falls to 6-12 (2-7 LEC), while the Anchormen improve to 10-8 (6-3 LEC).
