CASTINE, Maine – Senior
Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) won both of his individual events, while classmate
Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) and junior
Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) were also event winners to pace the Plymouth State University men's swim team in a 189-67 setback to Maine Maritime Academy in a dual meet at Cary W. Bok Pool on Friday.
Lyons posted victories in the 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard butterfly in season best times of 25.08 and 59.56 seconds. Lee was first to touch the wall in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.23, while D'Addona paced the field in the 100-yard freestyle with a winning time of 53.93 seconds.
Lee rounded out his day with third place finishes in the 50-yard breaststroke (30.28) and 100-yard individual medley (1:03.34), while D'Addona added a third-place finish in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 27.67.
Senior
Cory Boiselle (Methuen, Mass.) took second in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.27 seconds and added a third-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke (32.37), as freshman
Colin Devine (Braintree, Mass.) was third in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.88.
Sophomore
Karson Genakos (Gilford, N.H.) added a podium finish by placing third in 1-meter diving with a score of 131.25.
In the relay events, Boiselle, Devine, Lyons and D'Addona teamed up for a 1:39.11 to place second in the 200-yard freestyle relay, while Devine, Lee, Lyons and D'Addona joined forces for a third place showing in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:51.53.
