PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Plymouth State University fell to No. 11 Denison University, 19-3, at the Spring Fling Women's Lacrosse Tournament at Publix Sports Park on Sunday night.
Denison built a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and led the game wire to wire. Junior
Sammy Murphy (Harrisville, R.I.) and freshman
Karina Bosco (North Dighton, Mass.) converted free position attempts in the second quarter as PSU entered halftime trailing 12-2.
The Big Red opened the second half with six unanswered goals. Sophomore
Gracie Menicci (Pepperell, Mass.) halted the run late in the fourth quarter before Denison answered to account for the final margin.
Plymouth State falls to 1-3, while Denison, ranked 11th in the latest IWLCA national poll, improves to 5-1.

- Denison held a 25-10 advantage in shots on goal.
- PSU went 6-for-8 in clears.
- Draw controls were 13-10 in favor of the Big Red.
- Plymouth State was 2-for-3 on free position attempts.
- This was the first meeting between the two programs.
