BEVERLY, Mass. – Freshman goalie
Caitlin Snow (Peabody, Mass.) made 15 saves, but Endicott College topped Plymouth State University, 22-5, in a non-conference women's lacrosse game at Hempstead Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Claire Joyce (Braintree, Mass.) each scored in the opening quarter as the Panthers trailed by one, 3-2, late in the frame, but the Gulls ran off seven straight tallies to take control.
Plymouth State slips to 0-2, while Endicott improves to 1-0.

How it Happened:
- Endicott built a 2-0 lead in the first three minutes.
- Hoover picked up her first collegiate goal with 9:44 left in the first to pull within 2-1.
- Two minutes after another Endicott tally, Joyce answered for the Panthers to make it 3-2 with less than six minutes left in the first quarter.
- The hosts closed the frame with three goals, then added the first four scores of the second quarter to extend the lead to 10-2.
- Joyce snapped the streak with 5:11 left before halftime, but Endicott carried a 12-3 lead into the break.
- Freshman Evelyn Goudreau (Topsham, Maine) notched her team-leading fifth goal of the year to open the third-quarter scoring before Endicott put the game out of reach with a 10-0 run.
- Freshman Olivia Thibert (Dighton, Mass.) capped the scoring in the closing minutes to account for the final score.
By the Numbers:
- Hoover finished with a goal, three ground balls and two draw controls.
- Freshman Paige Carrow (Mansfield, Mass.) posted a team-high five ground balls and added two caused turnovers.
- Junior Grace Campo (Chelmsford, Mass.) chipped in three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Plymouth State scored five goals on eight shots.
- The Panthers went 12-for-19 on clear attempts.
- Endicott held a narrow 19-17 advantage in ground balls.
- This was the first meeting between the two teams since the 2000 season. Plymouth State had won all six previous matchups.
