MOTF: Panthers earn second straight Relay of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the second straight week, a Plymouth State University men's track relay team has earned weekly honors from the Little East Conference (LEC), the league announced on Monday.

The Panthers' 4x400-meter relay squad was named LEC Men's Relay of the Week after a strong performance at the Ed Daniels Classic at Southern New Hampshire University last Saturday. Freshmen Cam Lee (Northwood, N.H.) and Jiasen Smith (Lisbon, N.H.) teamed with sophomore Isaias Aguasvivas Pena (Marblehead, Mass.) and senior Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) to run a time of 3:27.12 and place fourth. The squad outpaced NCAA Division I foe University of New Hampshire and Division II Franklin Pierce, among others, while finishing behind two Division I programs.

Select athletes will compete at the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT this weekend, while most of the team will attend the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 18).
