HOOKSETT, N.H. – Plymouth State University posted four top-five individual finishes and the Panthers' 4x400-meter relay added another with a fourth-place result at the Ed Daniels Classic hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at Mark Ouellette Stadium on Saturday.
Senior
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) placed fourth in the 5,000 meters, while juniors
Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) and
Cooper O'Neil (Millbury, Mass.) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Freshman
Kellen Bateman (Exeter, N.H.) led the throwers with a fourth-place finish in the shot put, and freshmen
Cam Lee (Northwood, N.H.) and
Jiasen Smith (Lisbon, N.H.), sophomore
Isaias Aguasvivas Pena (Marblehead, Mass.), and senior
Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) teamed up to place fourth in the 4x400-meter relay.
The non-scoring meet featured competitors from all three NCAA divisions.

Meet Highlights:
- Goodman ran 15:35.09 to place fourth in the 5,000 meters. Junior Angelo DeLuca (Lynnfield, Mass.) placed ninth in 16:11.76.
- Colby edged O'Neil in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to finish fourth in 10:13.72, while O'Neil crossed fifth in 10:14.52.
- Bateman placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 12.48 meters.
- Lee, Smith, Aguasvivas Pena, and Hodge combined to run 3:27.12 and place fourth in the 4x400-meter relay.
- Senior Joel Newman (Natick, Mass.) cleared 1.83 meters to finish seventh in the high jump.
- Junior Shea McLaughlin (Byfield, Mass.) ran 16.31 to finish 13th in the 110-meter hurdles.
- Senior Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) clocked 2:02.19 to place 14th in the 800 meters, while junior Nathan Beauregard (Merrimack, N.H.) was also 14th in the 1,500 meters in 4:22.09.
- Junior Kole Matta (Castleton, Vt.) threw 40.59 meters in the javelin to place 15th.
- Freshman Griffin Massahos (Londonderry, N.H.) posted a pair of top-20 finishes in the 100 meters (11.18) and 200 meters (22.53).
- Lee (51.77) and Aguasvivas Pena (52.57) finished 18th and 19th, respectively, in the 400 meters.

- Select individuals will compete at the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT next weekend, while most of the team attends the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 18).
