Caitlin Snow (Peabody, Mass.) recorded her 100th save of the season, but Eastern Connecticut State University rallied from a five-goal deficit to top Plymouth State University, 13-8, in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's lacrosse game at Panther Field on Monday.
The Panthers got off to a hot start, building a 5-0 lead over the first five-plus minutes. PSU still held a five-goal advantage in the final minute of the first quarter, 7-2, but the Warriors responded with a 6-0 run to take an 8-7 lead into halftime.
Freshman
Karina Bosco (North Dighton, Mass.) tied the game early in the third quarter, but ECSU held the Panthers scoreless the rest of the way to secure the conference win.
Plymouth State falls to 4-8 (2-3 LEC), while the Warriors improve to 5-6 (3-1 LEC).

How it Happened:
- The Panthers exploded out of the gate as junior Sammy Murphy (Harrisville, R.I.) opened the scoring just 1:21 into the game.
- Freshman Evelyn Goudreau (Topsham, Maine) doubled the lead at 12:44, and Cunningham made it 3-0 just 13 seconds later.
- Cunningham added two more goals in less than three minutes to make it 5-0 with 9:47 left in the first quarter.
- The Warriors answered with back-to-back goals midway through the frame, but sophomore Claire Joyce (Braintree, Mass.) and Goudreau responded to make it 7-2 with 50 seconds remaining.
- Eastern Connecticut scored in the closing seconds to make it 7-3 after one.
- The Warriors chipped away in the second quarter, scoring twice in the final minute to take an 8-7 lead into halftime.
- Bosco tied the game at 8-8 early in the third quarter, but the Warriors responded with three goals over the final seven minutes to take an 11-8 lead into the fourth.
- Eastern Connecticut added a pair of four-quarter insurance goals to account for the final score.
