FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Four different players recorded hat tricks as Plymouth State University defeated Framingham State University, 14-8, in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Maple Street Field on Wednesday evening.
The Panthers used an 11-1 surge spanning from midway through the first quarter into the early stages of the fourth to break a 2-2 tie and seize control. The Rams attempted to rally late, scoring four goals down the stretch to cut into deficit, but PSU held on for the comfortable win.
Senior
Morgan Cunningham (Wrentham, Mass.) powered the offense with three goals and four assists, while freshmen
Karina Bosco (North Dighton, Mass.),
Olivia Thibert (Dighton, Mass.) and
Evelyn Goudreau (Topsham, Maine) also recorded hat tricks.
Plymouth State improves to 6-9, while Framingham State falls to 7-9.

How it Happened:
- Cunningham opened the scoring 1:18 into the game, but the Rams answered a minute later.
- Goudreau responded to put PSU back in front, but Framingham State again answered to make it 2-2 midway through the first quarter.
- Plymouth State took over from there, closing the first with three straight goals before adding the only two goals of the second quarter to take a 7-2 lead into the break.
- Thibert, Goudreau and Cunningham each scored woman-up goals to extend the lead to 10-2 before Framingham State briefly slowed the momentum.
- Bosco converted a feed from Thibert 30 seconds later, and Thibert and Cunningham added early fourth-quarter goals to push the lead to double digits, 13-3.
- Junior Sammy Murphy (Harrisville, R.I.) answered a Framingham State goal to make it 14-4 with 10 minutes remaining.
- The Rams closed the game with four straight tallies, but Plymouth State cruised to the win.
