GORHAM, Maine – Plymouth State University won its third straight match, shutting out the University of Southern Maine, 7-0, in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's tennis match at the Gorham High Courts on Tuesday afternoon.
The Panthers rolled through doubles play before claiming all six singles matches in straight sets. Sophomore
Leela Bakhshi (Plymouth, N.H.) continued her outstanding season by blanking her opponent at No. 5 singles. Seniors
Sofia Orama (Marlborough, Conn.) and
Anyah Fields (San Diego, Calif.) also cruised, surrendering just one game apiece, while classmate
Chloe Ahern (Middleton, Mass.) posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1.

How it Happened:
- Ahern and junior Lauryn Corrigan (Littleton, N.H.) teamed up for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.
- Sophomore Sidney Huff (Port Orchard, Wash.) and Orama cruised at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, while Bakhshi and Fields won by the same score at No. 3 doubles.
- Ahern rolled at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, and Corrigan earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles.
- Orama posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, while Fields rolled 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
- Bakhshi made quick work of her opponent at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
- Huff completed the sweep at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
