PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Plymouth State
University and Colby-Sawyer College battled for 110 minutes in
women's soccer Tuesday afternoon, but neither team could score and
the game ended in a double-overtime draw at Panther Field.
PSU finished with 20 shots and CSC had seven shots, but neither
team was able to generate strong scoring opportunities. The
Panthers are still unbeaten on the season with two wins and two
ties in four outings, while the Chargers are now 2-2-2. PSU
finished with a 0-0 score for the second straight game.
Senior goalkeeper Christina Quirk (Milford, Conn.) finished with 11
saves for the Chargers, while freshman Stephanie
Regina (Howell, N.J.) recorded six saves for the home
team.
The Panthers open Little East Conference play on Saturday with a
1:00 p.m. kickoff at Panther Field against Eastern Connecticut
State University. Colby-Sawyer returns home to host Endicott
on Saturday in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match-up (3:00
p.m.)
