GORHAM, Maine – Senior
Jacob Rigoli (Essex, Vt.) topped his own school record in the weight throw by more than 0.50 meters as the Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team competed at the Southern Maine Open I on Saturday.
Rigoli topped his previous mark on his first throw of the day, then extended it on his fourth – a toss that traveled 17.59 meters – to top the field. His mark currently ranks among the top-ten in the country.
Senior
Terrell Lewis (New Boston, N.H.) and junior
Luke Gomes (Litchfield, N.H.) were also event winners. Lewis won the 55-meter hurdles, while Gomes won the 1000-meter run.

How it Happened:
- Rigoli started his day off with the impressive performance in the weight throw, while also placing seventh in the shot put (12.54m).
- Lewis cruised to an easy win in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.94 seconds. Freshman Pat D'Entremont (Seabrook, N.H.) placed third in 8.51 seconds.
- Gomes crossed the line in 2:43.17 during the 1000-meter run to top the field by better than four seconds.
- Junior Ian Griffiths (Bedford, Mass.) took fourth in the long jump after clearing 6.40 meters, while also finishing eighth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.81 seconds.
- Classmate Owen Billin (Meredith, N.H.) was third in the triple jump (12.20m).
- PSU impressed in the 400-meter dash with seven of the top eight finishers. Sophomore Jyaire Hatcher (Uniondale, N.Y.) led the way with a second place showing in 52.70, with classmate Ryan Moyer (Dover, N.H.) close on his heels in 54.14.
- Junior Patrick Williston (Redding, Conn.) placed fourth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:26.60.
- The Panthers' 4x200-meter relay team of D'Entremont, senior CJ Miller (Branford, Conn.), junior Mason Howe (Sanbornton, N.H.) and Christian Oglesby (Penacook, N.H.) finished fifth with a time of 1:39.33.
