PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Six members of the Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team earned Little East Conference (LEC) postseason honors on Thursday, as the league announced its major awards winners and All-Conference and All-Rookie selections.
Seniors
Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) and
Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine), juniors
Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) and
Connor Phillips (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), and freshman
Jack Taylor (Bellingham, Mass.) all garnered All-LEC Third Team honors after claiming bronze medals in their respective events.
Goodman earned recognition in the 5,000 meters, while Colby, Phillips, Taylor and Cloutier teamed up to take bronze in the 4x800-meter relay.
Additionally, freshman
Enzo Valenti (Montville, Conn.) was named to the All-Rookie Team in the weight throw as the top-finishing first-year competitor in the event.
Plymouth State totaled 40 points to finish seventh in the team standings.
Qualifying athletes advance to the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships from Feb. 27 – Mar. 1.
