MEDFORD, Mass. – Seniors
Jacob Rigoli (Essex, Vt.) and
Terrell Lewis (New Boston, N.H.) and junior
Luke Gomes (Litchfield, N.H.) all won events to help the Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team to a fourth place finish at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational hosted by Tufts University at the Gantcher Center on Sunday.
Rigoli topped the field in the weight throw, while Gomes paced the field in the 1000-meter run. Lewis took the top spot in the 60-meter hurdles, while also placing second in the high jump.
Plymouth State finished fourth among ten teams including NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce and nationally ranked MIT and Tufts.

How it Happened:
- Lewis qualified in the top spot in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.33 seconds and was just a touch slower (8.37) while winning the finals. He also placed second in the high jump after clearing 1.90 meters.
- Rigoli continued his regional dominance in the weight throw with a comfortable win, covering 17.52 meters on his final toss.
- Gomes bolted to the win in the 1000-meter run with a personal best time of 2:38.01, with junior Brent Coope (Wolfeboro, N.H.) just behind him in third in 2:41.99.
- Freshman Christian Oglesby (Penacook, N.H.) had a big day with a pair of top-three finishes. The rookie placed second in the 400-meter dash in 53.13 seconds, while also taking third in the 200-meter dash in 23.79.
- Sophomore Jyaire Hatcher (Uniondale, N.Y.) and senior CJ Miller (Branford, Conn.) were right behind him in the 400m after finishing third (53.31) and fifth (55.06), respectively.
- Freshman Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) and junior Michael Barrett (Hartford, Conn.) went four-five in the 5000-meter run. Wilcox crossed the line in 16:19.55, with Barrett right on his heels in 16:19.74.
- PSU's 4x400-meter relay squad of Oglesby, Miller, Hatcher and sophomore Ryan Moyer (Dover, N.H.) finished third in 3:38.65.
