FARMINGTON, Maine – Senior
Taylor Healey (Campton, N.H.) scored four times and freshman
Abigale Bsullak (Poland, Maine) added a pair of goals as Plymouth State University scored early and often in a dominant 11-1 win over the University of Maine Farmington in a non-conference field hockey game at Prescott Field on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Athena Comeau (Rutland, Mass.) got the Panthers' offense going 8:17 into the contest. Healey added her first of the game two minutes later and the floodgates opened. With under one minute to go in the first quarter, junior
Jenna Stowell (Londonderry, N.H.) scored her first of the year, which was quickly followed by a tally from senior
Mackenzie Labrie (Canaan, N.H.) just 32 seconds later as PSU took a commanding 4-0 lead after one.
The Panthers added four more in the second stanza. Healey scored two before the midpoint of the quarter and Bsullak buried her first career goal with under five minutes remaining. Healey capped off the incredible half for PSU with her fourth of the game and an 8-0 lead for the Panthers.
Freshman
Sarah Adamske (Windham, N.H.) kept the scoring going just 39 seconds into the third quarter on a penalty stroke. Graduate student
Alessia Salzillo (Saugus, Mass.) got on the scoresheet with her fourth of the year and a 10-0 lead for the Panthers.
Late in the fourth quarter, UMaine Farmington found the back of the cage to spoil the shutout bid, but Bsullak answered back with her second with under three minutes remaining to put a bow on the win for Plymouth State.
PSU improves to 7-4, while the Beavers dip to 1-12.

How it Happened:
- Comeau scored her eighth of the season 8:17 into the contest.
- Healey began her big game with her 13th of the year for an early 2-0 lead.
- Stowell scored her first of the season with just under a minute to go in the first.
- Labrie added her tenth of the year just 32 seconds later to make it 4-0 after one.
- PSU rattled off three goals in under five minutes during the second quarter. Healey scored twice, while Bsullak added her first collegiate score.
- Healey scored again to complete her four-goal game giving PSU a commanding 8-0 lead at the half.
- Adamske scored on a penalty stroke just 39 seconds into the third.
- Salzillo later added a goal for her fourth of the season.
- The Beavers got one back in the late stages of regulation, but Bsullak answered to cap off the decisive win for the Panthers.
By the Numbers:
- Healey's four goals were one shy of her career high. Her 16 tallies on the season are second most in the Little East Conference.
- Bsullak recorded her first collegiate goal and first career multi-goal game.
- Labrie ranks second on the team with ten goals and 23 points.
- Stowell notched her first tally of the season.
- PSU held a distinct field advantage, outshooting the Beavers by a 38-3 margin, including 27-2 in shots on goal.
- The Panthers' 11 goals tied the most since at least 1986.
- Plymouth State owns a 6-1 record in the series dating back to the 1987 season. This was the first meeting since 2018, when the Beavers snuck away with a 1-0 win. PSU has only allowed four total goals in the seven games.
