PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior
Mike Olson (Sutton, Mass.) and junior
Jyaire Hatcher (Uniondale, N.Y.) led an onslaught of multiple wins to help the Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team claim victory at the Panther Invitational II at the Bank of New Hampshire Field House on Saturday.
Hatcher initiated the charge in the 60-meter dash with a blazing time of 7.17 seconds, after finishing second in the preliminaries with a time of 7.22. Hatcher added another individual win in the 200-meter dash after crossing the finish line in a near-program record time of 23.53 seconds, just 0.03 seconds shy of the program mark.
Olson picked up a historic win in the 400-meter dash when he broke the program record with a time of 51.35 seconds. He was later joined by senior
Colin Moar (Annandale, Va.), junior
Ryan Moyer (Dover, N.H.) and freshman
Josh Rebello (North Dighton, Mass.) for the 4x800-meter relay to take the final win in 8:13.78.
The Panthers took first overall, finishing ahead of the entire field which included NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce.

How it Happened:
- Hatcher came in second in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.22 seconds, before demolishing the field with a winning time of 7.17 in the finals.
- Gomes won the mile run with an incredible final kick to finish in 4:36.49, while Coope was on his heels in 4:40.60 to place third.
- Olson led the way in the 400-meter dash with a program record time of 51.35 seconds. Rebello, Moyer and freshman Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) swept third through fifth places, respectively.
- Moar put up a fight in the 1,000-meter run, coming in second by roughly half a second in a time of 2:35.47.
- Freshman Ben Calsson (Orleans, Mass.) also represented in the 1,000-meter run to come in third in 2:48.74.
- Hatcher was on top again with a win in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 23.53 seconds. He was joined by Hodge, who placed fifth in 24.69.
- Barrett led a pack of Panthers in the 3,000-meter run, a group that included sophomores Jacob Gallaher (Gambrills, Md.) and Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) and freshmen Jackson Diglio (Goshen, N.Y.) and Dan Daschbach-Eaton (Exeter, N.H.), to a sweep of second through sixth positions. Barrett finished in 8:58.76.
- The 4x800-meter relay foursome of Moar, Rebello, Moyer and Olson won the event in 8:13.78 with the Panthers' second squad placing second in 8:42.91.
- Freshman Nik Snyder (Pelham, N.H.) took third in the long jump with a leap of 5.98 meters.
- Billin placed third in the triple jump after covering 12.42 meters.
- Griffiths tied for first in the high jump, clearing 1.75 meters, while freshman Joel Newman (Natick, Mass.) took fourth with a height of 1.65 meters.
- Rigoli dominated the weight throw with a toss of 16.14 meters.
