WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Junior
Chase Anestis (Belmont, N.H.) and senior
Ty Miller (Groton, Conn.) both placed to lead the Plymouth State University wrestling team at the Williams Open at Williams College on Saturday.
Anestis extended his outstanding campaign with a fifth-place finish at 174 pounds, while Miller took eighth at 165 pounds.
The tournament featured several regional powerhouses, including Springfield College, Western New England University, Roger Williams University and the host Ephs. Team scoring was not provided.

How it Happened:
- Anestis opened the day with a win by fall and 2-0 decision to advance to the quarterfinal round. A narrow 4-1 setback to the region's fifth-ranked grappler dropped him to the consolation bracket, but Anestis powered forward with a decisive 15-0 technical fall win. He posted a 4-0 win by decision to advance to the fifth-place bout, then held on for a 3-2 decision to take fifth.
- Miller rebounded from an opening round fall to pick up a 12-3 major decision win and a win by fall to move through the consolation bracket. A setback ended his day tied for eighth.
- Other winners on the day included senior Yuri Case (Fairfield, Conn.) at 141 pounds, junior Nick Antonucci (Windham, N.H.) at 149 pounds, junior Colin Hile (Walpole, Mass.) at 174 pounds and sophomore Michael Moussa (Tucson, Ariz.) at heavyweight.
