GORHAM, Maine – Freshman
Sam Cowette (Bedford, N.H.) secured the Panthers' lone win as the Plymouth State University wrestling team traveled to the University of Southern Maine for a quadrangular on Saturday.
Cowette earned an 11-3 major decision victory at 184 pounds in his bout against Southern Maine. The short-handed Panthers were forced to forfeit multiple weight classes across all three matches.
In exhibitions, junior
Jon Picon Ruiz (Central Falls, R.I.) secured his first collegiate win with a pin against Western New England.
Plymouth State squared off against the host Huskies, Trinity College, and Western New England University.
