PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Seniors
Nick Savariego (Hillsdale, N.J.) and
Michael Moussa (Tucson, Ariz.) celebrated
Senior Day in style as the duo accounted for all the Plymouth State University scoring in a wrestling dual match against Emmanuel College at Foley Gymnasium Wednesday evening.
Savariego opened the night with a forfeit win at 125 pounds, while Moussa outlasted his opponent at 285 pounds, earning a 10-3 decision.
The heavyweight bout remained scoreless through the first period. Moussa jumped ahead with an escape early in the second before adding a takedown to push the margin to 4-1 entering the third period. Leading 7-3, he sealed the win with a takedown in the final 15 seconds.
Sophomore
John Allmers (Rivervale, N.J.) wrestled hard but fell by a 12-5 decision at 141 pounds.

Chase Anestis (Belmont, N.H.) were honored prior to the match as part of the
Senior Day festivities.
Plymouth State will travel to No. 14 Johnson & Wales for a dual match on Saturday (Feb. 14).
