PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's basketball team fell to the Colby-Sawyer College Chargers, 51-44, in a non-conference match in the Dan & Kathleen Hogan Sports Center on Wednesday evening.
Sophomore
Ashley Stephens (Pembroke, N.H.) had a dominant individual performance, recording a game-high 18 points, ten of which came in the second quarter. Freshman
Kaley Goodhart (Center Conway, N.H.) added eight points of her own, while graduate student
Sabrina Vlahovic (New Hope, Pa.) tallied seven points and eight rebounds in the losing effort for the Panthers.
Both teams produced a strong defensive effort in a contest that fashioned 26 steals and 51 turnovers in a low-scoring affair where Plymouth State held its opponent to under 28% shooting on the evening. The three-ball proved to be the difference as the Chargers knocked down eight shots from distance to one for the Panthers.
Plymouth State falls to 2-3 on the season, while the Chargers improve to 5-0.

- The Panthers trailed after a low-scoring first quarter as Colby-Sawyer led by a narrow 10-7 margin after the first ten minutes of play.
