Chase Anestis (Belmont, N.H.) advanced to the championship bout, graduate student
Ty Miller (Groton, Conn.) took third and sophomore
Cam McMahon (East Hampstead, N.H.) and freshman
Cam Monahan (Salem, N.H.) also placed to lead the Plymouth State University wrestling team to a sixth place team finish at the Ted Reese Invitational hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.
Competing at 165 pounds, Anestis won three straight bouts to reach the finals, where he was nipped by decision, 4-3.
Miller rolled into the 184-pound semifinals, but a loss dropped him to the consolation bracket. He followed with back-to-back major decision wins to secure the third place finish.
McMahon (125 pounds) and Monahan (133 pounds) both secured sixth place finishes to give the Panthers a season high four place finishers.
Plymouth State finished sixth in the team rankings.

How it Happened:
- Anestis needed just 1:12 to pin his opening round opponent. He followed with a 14-0 major decision to advance to the semifinals. Anestis advanced to the championship bout with a 4-3 decision, but suffered a 4-3 setback in the finals to finish second.
- Miller earned a pin over his first opponent in 4:29, then made quick work of his second round matchup with another win by fall in just 1:24. A setback knocked him to the consolation bracket, but back-to-back major decision victories (10-2 and 13-3) secured the third place finish.
- Wrestling at 125 pounds, McMahon won by fall to move to the consolation semis. He suffered a 4-0 setback by decision before being pinned in the fifth place bout to take sixth.
- Monahan, competing at 133 pounds, ripped off back-to-back wins by decision in the consolation bracket to move to the consolation semis. Consecutive setbacks left him in sixth place.
- Freshman Nick Nicosia (Tyngsboro, Mass.) won a pair of bouts at 141 pounds. After a first round setback he rallied with a win by fall and 15-0 technical fall victory before ending his day in the consolation round of eight.
- Other winners on the day included seniors Damari Goldsmith-Greene (Whitman, Mass.), Nick Antonucci (Windham, N.H.) and Robert Tarasuk (Hampton, N.H.) and junior Michael Moussa (Tucson, Ariz.).
