MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Senior
Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) picked up where he left off on the track when he posted a victory to aid the Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team to a fourth-place finish at the Middlebury Snowflake Invitational hosted by Middlebury College at Virtue Field House on Saturday.
Flewelling came off a dominant cross country season, posting multiple career bests to close out the year and he carried the momentum in the 3,000-meters when he ran a sub-nine-minute mark in a time of 8:56.47 to open his long-distance campaign.
His performance marks the tenth time a runner has gone sub-nine-minutes in the event at PSU. He has reached the mark three times, tied for the most in the program, and is the only runner to hit the mark this early into indoor season.
Plymouth State placed fourth as a team with 51 points, ahead of Little East Conference (LEC) foe VTSU Castleton.
