GORHAM, Maine – Freshman
Ty Shipmon (Yonkers, N.Y.) made it two straight weeks of broken records to help the Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team to a first-place finish at the Husky Invitational hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.
Shipmon dropped under the 23-second mark in the 200-meters to not only win the event but take down his own program record set during the season opener after crossing the line in 22.99 seconds.
Plymouth State won the meet by one point over NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce, while also holding off a pair of Little East Conference foes.

How it Happened:
- Shipmon dipped under 23 seconds in the 200-meters to break his own school record in 22.99 seconds. Senior Christian Oglesby (Penacook, N.H.) took fifth in 23.50.
- The trio of junior Josh Rebello (North Dighton, Mass.), senior Dylan Flewelling (Oakland, Maine) and sophomore Connor Phillips (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) scored three of the top five spots in the 800-meters. Rebello posted a winning time of 2:02.26, with Flewelling and Philips finishing in 2:03.84 and 2:07.33.
- Sophomore Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) ran 2:46.37 in the 1,000-meters to place fourth overall.
- Junior Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) placed fifth in the mile in 4:34.16.
- Senior Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) helmed the 3,000-meters to win in 9:10.97, while junior Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) and freshman Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) nabbed third and fourth in 9:17.66 and 9:31.73, respectively.
- Junior Jackson Diglio (Goshen, N.Y.) also scored sixth in the 3,000-meters in 9:41.40.
- Sophomore Nathan Beauregard (Merrimack, N.H.) placed second in the 5,000-meters in 17:46.61, while classmate Elijah Thomas (Stoughton, Mass.) snagged second in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.18 seconds.
- Shipmon anchored the 4x200-meter relay team that included junior Nik Snyder (Pelham, N.H.), sophomore Nick Sobalo (Pelham, N.H.) and freshman Isaias Aguasvivas Pena (Marblehead, Mass.) to third in 1:34.00.
- Oglesby returned for the 4x400-meter relay with senior Brandon Vachon (Ayer, Mass.) and juniors Joey Cappelletti (Mansfield, Mass.) and Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) in 3:30.49 for second overall.
- Freshman Cooper Conklin (Cumberland, R.I.) represented in the weight throw with a heave of 14.35 meters for fourth.
- The DMR squad of Cloutier, Flewelling, and seniors Eli Roth (Stamford, Conn.) and Brayden White (Whitefield, N.H.) placed second overall in 11:02.47.
