PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team posted a third place finish at the Panther Invitational II at the Bank of New Hampshire Field House at ALLWell North on Saturday.
The Panthers highlighted the day with three podium finishes and a multitude of top-five placements. Senior
Eli Roth (Stamford, Conn.) took third in the 800-meters, only missing the sub-two-minute mark by 0.05 seconds.
Sophomore
Angelo DeLuca (Lynnfield, Mass.) paced himself and kicked hard in the 3,000-meters to third overall in 9:22.28. The 4x800-meter relay of junior
Josh Rebello (North Dighton, Mass.), sophomore
Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) and freshmen
Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) and
Peter Swain (Wakefield, Mass.) finished second in 8:46.86.
Plymouth State took third overall with 54 points, ahead of two NCAA Division II institutions while also topping Little East Conference foe VTSU Castleton.

How it Happened:
- Junior Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) kicked off the day with a fifth-place finish in the 5,000-meters in 16:14.04.
- Junior Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) took sixth in the mile run in 4:34.63, while sophomore Shea McLaughlin (Byfield, Mass.) also placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.29 seconds.
- White and Rebello placed fifth and eighth in the 400-meters, crossing the line in 51.28 and 52.26, respectively.
- Roth barely missed the sub-two-minute barrier for third place in the 800-meters in 2:00.05.
- DeLuca and sophomore Nathan Beauregard (Merrimack, N.H.) finished third and fourth in the 3,000-meters in 9:22.28 and 10:03.91.
- The 4x800-meter squad of Rebello, Colby, Francis and Swain placed second in 8:46.86.
- Plymouth State had two 4x200-meter relay teams score fourth and fifth. White, graduate student Brandon Vachon (Ayer, Mass.), Cappelletti and junior Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) crossed the line in 1:33.94, while McLaughlin, junior Nik Snyder (Pelham, N.H.), sophomore Nick Sobalo (Pelham, N.H.) and freshman Gabe Kean (Thornton, N.H.) teamed up for a 1:35.22.
- Freshman Cooper Conklin (Cumberland, R.I.) scored in the weight throw with a heave of 14.22 meters.
