WELLESLEY, Mass. – Junior
Olivia Bailey (Wrentham, Mass.) claimed her second medal in as many days to anchor the Plymouth State University women's swim team on day two of the Little East Conference (LEC) Championships at the Boston Sports Institute on Saturday.
Bailey posted a season best time in the finals of the 100-yard backstroke to snag the bronze medal, her second bronze in as many days.
PSU's 200-yard medley relay team was outstanding with a season best time by nearly six full seconds, while sophomore
Ollie Kramer (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and junior
Jackie Gaigals (Rochester, N.H.) also posted season best times in the B finals of the 200-yard freestyle and 50-yard butterfly, respectively.
Plymouth State finished day two with 127 team points to rank tenth, just five points behind Rhode Island College.

How it Happened:
- Bailey teamed up with sophomore Gabby Gladu (Lewiston, Maine), Gaigals and Kramer to open the meet with a significant season best in the 200-yard medley relay. The foursome shaved 5.84 seconds off the previous season best to finish tenth in 2:03.95.
- Gaigals followed with her best time of the year when she ended up fifth in the B finals of the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 29.51 seconds.
- Kramer continued the momentum into the B finals of the 200-yard freestyle. Her time of 2:09.60 was just shy of five seconds faster than her previous best.
- Bailey snagged her second bronze medal of the championships when she swam her fastest 100-yard backstroke of the season, touching the wall in 1:02.19. She became just the second women's swimmer in program history to record multiple medal finishes at the LEC Championships, joining Madelin Svetin, who claimed a gold and two silvers at the 2021-22 championships.
- PSU wrapped up day two with a tenth place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Swimming the event for the first time this season, Kramer, Gladu and Bailey joined forces with sophomore Laurel Bennett (Rindge, N.H.) to finish in 9:28.44.
