PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Six members of the Plymouth State University women's indoor track & field team combined for five All-Little East Conference (LEC) nods and two All-Rookie team selections as the league announced its major awards winners and all-conference and all-rookie teams on Thursday afternoon.
Senior
Paige Hurst (Pelham, N.H.), sophomore
Rose Karow (South Yarmouth, Maine) and freshman
Ani Flynn (Plymouth, N.H.) were honored with All-LEC First Team selections after winning their respective individual events. Hurst topped the field in the 400-meters, with Karow taking the 800-meters. Flynn was the top finisher in the high jump.
Flynn and Hurst joined senior
Montana Casa (Storrs Mansfield, Conn.) and junior
Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine) with All-LEC Second Team recognition after taking second in the 4x200-meter relay, while Casa, Hanson, Karow and Hurst repeated the honor in the 4x400-meter relay with a second place finish as well.
Additionally, Flynn and freshman
Florence Schaumloffel (New Ipswich, N.H.) were named to the All-Rookie Team in the high jump and mile run, respectively, as the top-finishing first-year competitors in each event.
Plymouth State scored 53 points to finish sixth in the final team standings.
