Ty Miller (Groton, Conn.) went 3-0 and freshman
Brody McDonald (Salem, N.H.) won twice to pace the Plymouth State University wrestling team at the Western New England University Quadrangular on Saturday.
Miller has been on a rampage of late, winning each of his last 14 bouts. After a win by decision in PSU's opening match, Miller used back-to-back technical fall wins to improve to 31-9 on the year – the most wins in a season for a Panther in more than 13 years.
McDonald earned a pin in his first round bout, PSU's only pin of the day, and followed with a victory by decision. He has already secured four wins at 133 pounds this month.
Battling illnesses, PSU was forced to forfeit four weight classes in each match.
PSU moves to 2-17 on the year. The host Golden Bears improve to 13-4, while Trinity goes to 6-11. Southern Maine finishes the day with a 7-11 mark.

How it Happened (Western New England):
- McDonald was in control throughout in his opening bout, before securing a pin late in the second period.
- Miller won an 8-1 decision at 184 pounds to account for PSU's other three points.
How it Happened (Southern Maine):
- McDonald picked up his second win of the day by outlasting his opponent in an 11-7 decision.
- Miller used a 19-4 technical fall to improve to 2-0 on the afternoon.
- Senior Robert Tarasuk (Hampton, N.H.) was locked in a good battle at 174 pounds, but fell by decision.
How it Happened (Trinity):
- Miller wrapped up his perfect day with a second technical fall win.
