Hayden Durocher (Nashua, N.H.) earned his first career win, while senior
Nick Savariego (Hillsdale, N.J.) was also a winner as the Plymouth State University wrestling team competed at the Mariner Duals hosted by Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday afternoon.
Plymouth State opened the day against the host Mariners, with Durocher securing a forfeit win to open the bout. Merchant Marine took over from there, though, winning eight of the remaining nine weight classes to secure a 43-6 victory.
Hunter College picked up five pins in the middle bout as the Panthers were overwhelmed, 54-0, before PSU squared off against No. 20 NYU in the final match of the day, falling by a 51-6 margin. Savariego picked up a forfeit victory at 141 pounds for the Panthers' lone points.
