CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Plymouth State University men's indoor track & field team turned in several strong individual performances at the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT at the Johnson Athletic Center Track on Saturday.
Competing against a field that included student-athletes from all three NCAA divisions, sophomore
Gabe Kean (Thornton, N.H.) led the way on the track with a 10th-place finish in the 200-meter dash (23.36), while senior
Zach Hodge (Springfield, N.H.) added a 15th-place effort in the 400-meters (52.78).
Freshman
Enzo Valenti (Montville, Conn.) and junior
Kole Matta (Castleton, Vt.) highlighted the field events. Valenti was 12th in the shot put, while Matta took 15th in the weight throw.
The meet was non-scoring.

Meet Highlights:
- Valenti and Matta posted the top field performances. Valenti was 12th in the shot put (12.77 meters) and 19th in the weight throw (13.04 meters), while Matta finished 24th in the shot put (11.82 meters) and 15th in the weight throw (13.61 meters).
- Kean led a group of five Panthers with top 20 finishes in the 200-meter dash, placing 10th with a time of 23.36 seconds. Freshman Griffin Massahos (Londonderry, N.H.) was 15th in 23.79, just ahead of sophomore Isaias Aguasvivas Pena (Marblehead, Mass.) and Hodge. Aguasvivas Pena took 16th in 23.81 seconds, with Hodge 17th in 23.83. Freshman Cam Lee (Northwood, N.H.) rounded out the quintet in 19th after crossing the line in 23.86 seconds.
- Hodge, Aguasvivas Pena, and Lee also ran well in the 400-meter dash. Hodge placed 15th in 52.78 seconds, while Aguasvivas Pena (53.06) nipped Lee (53.30) for 17th.
- Junior Khalid Vicks (Kingston, Mass.) led the Panthers in the 60-meter dash, placing 42nd in 7.32 seconds.
- Freshman Cristian Lytle (Merrimack, N.H.) was PSU's top finisher in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:34.58.
- Junior Connor Phillips (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was 25th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.78.
- Senior Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) and junior Ben Colby (Manchester, N.H.) were 30th and 35th in the mile run with times of 4:35.98 and 4:37.67, respectively. Sophomore Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) won his heat of the mile in 4:40.97.
- Junior Angelo DeLuca (Lynnfield, Mass.) paced a group of five Panthers in the 3,000-meter run after clocking a 9:16.70 to finish 14th. Senior Luke Cloutier (Lyman, Maine) and juniors Nathan Beauregard (Merrimack, N.H.) and Cooper O'Neil (Millbury, Mass.) were 17th, 19th, and 20th, respectively.
- Junior Elijah Thomas (Stoughton, Mass.) placed 13th in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.82 seconds.
